10:12 pm - We welcome back our matey Jace!
Yo-Ho! How long it'd been since we'd seen our fellow ship-mate...

*Ahoy! As Jacie climbed on deck, she was instantly greeted by two new friends*

None other than two buck-toothed, beady-eyed, fuzzy-headed llamas!

Jay and I quickly explained that we had met them along our travels and had decided to take them on board as it had always been their dream to sail the high seas. The llamas were now our fellow freebooters, named Sea Rat and Sea Rover, eager for the adventures that lay ahead.

Jay and I closely inspected and greeted Jace in the new-style pirate hats we had designed:

Then, 'Splice the mainbrace!', we all three took to handsomely drinking grog till we could laugh no more and our eyelids went heavy as stones.

Sweet dreams me mateys- it's good to be reunited at last...

Jacie drifted along in her little boat, until finally- alas! There be her beloved Belafonte! She began to row steadily towards it, hoping that all be well aboard her. And as she picked up the sounds of "Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle o'Rum", she rowed faster towards her crew. It had been too long!

"Drie Bags?? Jay Poo Poo?" She bellowed, over the crashing of waves. She couldn't wait to come aboard...

*the boat sways to the left, then quickly up and to the right... Jacie is splashed with water, but remains staring up at the stars*

Aye, 'tis true... I miss me mateys! This little boat be no Belafonte... her mast is as torn as my heart. Her tiny deck as big as our john (bathroom).

It keeps me happy to know that they they'll drift back with many'a'stories to tell.

I miss my barels'o'rum as well. ARRRRG!!

12:55 pm - Drifting
what would i do without
the wind in my hair
the lulling sea
gently rocking me,
deck underfoot
skies overhead?

the waves rise and crash upon the sides of the belafonte-
short-lived, receding back into the endless sea.

this place offers me the most peaceful moments i've ever had...it's an amazing feeling when you look forward to see the sun and all around is the great blue, shimmering sea....in that moment, everything else dissapears except for your thoughts and the beauty you are surrounded by- it is utmost bliss.

if i ever have to leave this ship, this peaceful place, my friends who've travelled so far with me, i fear the light inside my heart would diminish like the light of a setting sun...

08:51 pm - Ahoy Mateys!
Hooray- we've found a pencil! We haven't been able to update because all marking tools were lost. Alas, I found a pencil in our cannon while cleaning it.

The moon is bright, and Drie's crow seems to be ready to get off the ship for a bit. She won't let me hold her for more than thirty seconds, and her black feathers are everywhere from all of her flying. Drie and Jay are packing up their napsacks- they are taking a small boat in a few days and going on an adventure together, in search of the island of Londinia. I would love to go with them, but we can't leave our ship unattended, and I have much work to do. Our sail needs repairing, the letters on our ship need touching up, and I am beginning to sew us all a new wardrobe from the sails of The Black Destroyer- a ship that we "encountered" last week. I swear, I never meant to injure LockJaw, that enourmous sailor... but, you lay a hand on any of us, you get an ass-whoopin', as they say. This did not go over well with his crew... and soon, they were drifting away on their life-boats, bruised but still alive. And we were left with their ship'o'loot...

Right now, I'm practicing stearing the ship. It will be fun to man the port independently for a while, but it will be lonely. I hope to recieve updates of Jay and Drie's journey. :)

Ouch- blimey! Jay's black cat just scratched my leg! I think she's angry at me because I added a rose scent to her litter can. I'm sorry that it is so strong, but... a girl wants the deck to smell nice!

London will miss her buddies next week... who will scratch and peck pirates as she zooms around them, blinding them in a black haze?

11:19 pm - llamas, and tigers, and frogs, oh my!
Good day fellow mateys,

It's been awhile since we've last told a tale from our voyage at sea. It's been nothing but one adventure after another- with hardly a chance to catch a breath inbetween, let alone find time to sit down and try and turn these colorful adventures into written word.

Anyways, I've decided to take the initiative and post some pictures of a few animals we've had the chance to see up close and personal along the way (although none can seem to tell us where to find the oyster which beholds our treasure! Damn animals sure know how to keep a secret...).

It was like a game for us to try and find as many of these colorful frogs as we could- this was one of my favorites, although we only learned that they were indeed poisonous AFTER Jay had nearly died and come back through emergency reccesitation...

sure, they look all pretty and tantalizing, but beware that these frogs are dripping with poison!

We've seen all shapes and sizes of butterflys, but never get tired of admiring them.

This tiger gave us rides for free-but insisted I take a picture of him posing from afar- a bit conceited he was...

When we went for a dip in the arctic waters in the north, this little guy wouldn't leave us alone!

We also came across a mama and baby polar bear- AND they offered us Coca-Cola! I swear, those bears really push that drink...

The llamas were one of my favorites- these happened to be the pets of a friend we met along the way.

Well, those were some of my favs...

Right now, I must go and join in on the feast that Jay has been cooking up in the kitchen for Jace and I. Mmmmm...smells like Mexican! Perfect for being in the middle of the arctic- the spices shall warm our tummys :)

Until we speak again, this is Drie of the High Seas saying 'AHOY!' and goodnight.

05:44 pm - a quick piece of advice...
always keep the wood beneath ya, the sails above ya, and mateys all around you.

this is the life i tell you all- sailing the high seas with two of the greatest friends this world has ever had to offer me- hence the sentiment :)

03:54 pm - all's quiet on the western front
Well, I think it's safe to say that we all managed to safely escape that goddamn son-of-a-bitch whale! there are times when i'll be on lookout duty, and a certain wave will remind me of a whale fin, or a dark shadow will emerge from beneath the water, but the crazy killer orca seems to have been left behind with the ruins of jay's parent's ship.

As for our new crew member- she's great! It's helpful having another matey on board (less work for jacie and i, more time for rum-drinkin, hehe...), and she makes us laugh all the while. like just last night, after we all had a hearty meal (she's a good cook too!), we indulged ourselves in rum and jay got so drunk she started singing and dancing around with a towel on her head! it was so funny... maybe you had to be there...ARG! *ahem*

All we can do now is plunge full speed ahead and follow where the wind takes us. we're sure to encounter some exciting adventures along the way- and armed with marshmellow guns, tiger's claws, swords, and now jay, how can we possibly fail in finding our treasure?

I'll leave ye' with that thought,

Drie of the High Seas
